I love everything about wedding stationery, from the envelope to the font choice and everything inbetween. It’s the first glimpse of your wedding day that your guests get to see. It gives an indication of what your guests can expect from the day – the colours, the style, fun or traditional etc.
The anticipation as the envelope arrives and what’s inside. My wedding was in the month of December so we opted for a black and white colour scheme. My envelopes were black and I used a silver pen to address them, which looked different to the standard white envelopes you often see. We also had personalised postage stamps designed via the Royal Mail which added a special touch to things (I really like detailing).
Wedding invites over the past few years have changed in a number of ways. More people are opting for webvites which are electronic based rather than physical, and others are opting for less traditional styles of invitations and creating their own. I appreciate all forms of wedding stationery but at the minute I really love a traditional style.
Artemis Stationery fit the bill for traditional wedding invites made with quality products and design ranges that are customizable. The variety of products allows for any budget, with prices starting from just £0.50.
My favourite designs are the folding invitations because I am obsessed with being able to open things – this must come from my love of reading (I can’t use a kindle, I need a hard book). I like the simplicity of the design combined with the bold colour choice. This is a great tip to remember; simple design and strong colours are just as effective (and often more sophisticated) as intricate and fussy designs.
I’m a big fan of the detachable RSVP card plus it means your guests have no excuses not to reply!
Matching table stationery is available too, using the same top quality card.
