We all know it’s a woman’s prerogative to change her mind and this rule extends to the modern bride-to-be. If you’ve been reading about my new adventures, you’ll know that only a few days ago my bride-to-be had set a date and provisionally booked a venue. Well, I had another wedding planning meeting at the weekend and to my utter shock I was told that the venue and date had been changed and are very much set in stone.
The bride-to-be has chosen the stunning venue, Dodford Manor, which is currently under construction and will look utterly fabulous when completed. The date is now set for April 2013 which is better than the previous date as it gives us an additional 4 months of planning – woooo!
We visited Serendipity Brides; a stunning bridal shop in the heart of Weedon. The shop has undergone a very demure renovation and is chic and glamorous but mixed with a very homely feel, allowing you to relax and feel welcomed. Hot chocolate, cakes and stunning bridal gowns greeted us – what more do us ladies need? We spent most of the afternoon trying dresses, all of which were beautiful and we’ve found a couple of contenders for ‘the one’. Both are quite similar, one is by Pronovias and the other is a Maggie Sottero.
We’ve got a fixed budget and millions of ideas so my afternoon today will consist of searching for wedding entertainment, transport and cakes. If anyone has any ideas then drop me a message. What a great way to spend the afternoon.
I love wedding planning!
