I’ve been banging on for a few weeks now about my new wedding planning job, so I thought it would be nice to speak to a professional team for advice and to find out exactly what a wedding planner does!  Oh So Perfect Weddings and Events have experience in many lavish events and come highly recommended.

Based in the heart of South Wales, Oh So Perfect organise high quality weddings, civil partnerships and special events in South, Mid and West Wales, as well as across the border into Bristol, Gloucestershire and the South West.  Oh So Perfect also operates a second base in Milton Keynes and is able to assist with weddings in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and the surrounding regions upon request.

What services and products are available?

We offer a wide range of wedding services which can be tailored to suit any couple, theme or budget.  Whether you require our full service or you simply want us to help along the way, we can supply an Oh So Perfect package to suit you.

Our most popular service is our ‘Oh So Supportive – On the Day Coordination’ package.  This is the ideal package for the couple who have planned their own wedding to the very last detail and have everything set for the biggest day of their life.  By booking Oh So Perfect to coordinate your big day, you can relax and enjoy the wedding experience, without having to worry about setting up the venue, dealing with the suppliers, or keeping a watchful eye on the wedding cake!  We can discreetly organise the venue, catering, suppliers and order of the day for you, plus take care of any eventualities should they arise – you’ll be so focused on enjoying the events of the day that you won’t even notice we’re there!

We also offer Full/Partial Wedding and Event Planning services; including full research and booking of suppliers, care of the guest list, RSVPs, venue styling and more!

In order to suit even the smallest of budgets, we offer an ‘Oh So Helpful – As and When’ service from only £35 per hour.  This package is designed to help you ‘as and when’ you need us; whether you need help sourcing a specific supplier, a professional planner to accompany you whilst you visit your dream venue, need someone to pick up the bridesmaid dresses and flowers, or would simply like to book an hour or two in person to discuss your plans, we can be as ‘Oh So Helpful’ as you like.

What is a wedding planner and how can you help an engaged couple?

A wedding planner is every bride and groom’s best friend in the lead up to the wedding day!  At Oh So Perfect we pride ourselves on always putting our couple and their needs before anything else – whatever the bride and groom want they will get!  It’s their special day and we never lose sight of that very fact, after all, that’s what we’re all here for!  

We can offer support and guidance to an engaged couple to ensure that their wedding planning and big day is an enjoyable experience throughout.  We’re there to remove any stresses and struggles, to ensure that they experience a pleasurable and stress-free build up to the wedding; including a relaxing and enjoyable day too!  We’ll even help you afterwards if you need us so you can continue your experience right through to the honeymoon!

Oh So Perfect offer fully qualified wedding planners to provide a top quality service, and we will only work with suppliers who we believe can provide you with the best products and services throughout.  Our experience and expertise ensure that your wedding day will be planned and coordinated to the utmost, professional detail.

Your wedding planner will quickly become your best friend in the lead up to your big day – always ready to listen to your worries and requests, and prepared to do anything possible to help you achieve your dream day.  You’ll be sad to say goodbye at the end!

Oh So Perfect Weddings and Events is also a member of the Best Practice Association of Wedding Planners and commit to following the guidelines as set out by the BPA to ensure the highest standard of service for our clients.

Can you offer advice to a couple who don’t know where to begin with their wedding plans?

The most important advice we offer to any couple is to start with the budget.  Think logically and realistically about how much money you wish to spend on your wedding – will you use your savings?  Take out a loan?  Are family and friends helping with your fund too?

Once you are clear about how much money you have and wish to spend, then you can draw up a budget plan, with a section for each supplier and a realistic idea of what each aspect may cost.  It’s heart-breaking to watch a couple walk away unhappy from their wedding day, realising they have unexpectedly put themselves into unnecessary debt.

Oh So Perfect offer confidential budget planning and advice to all our clients, to ensure that they do not spend a penny more than they wish to, and we can suggest tips and advice to save money and achieve their dream wedding within their planned budget at all times.  From time to time we also receive discounts from our recommended suppliers, and these discounts are always passed directly to the couple without question.

Can you cater for civil partnerships or other events?

Yes certainly, we are even listed as a recommended wedding supplier in the online Civil Partnership directory

The head wedding planner at Oh So Perfect holds a diploma in Wedding and Event Management and has years of previous experience organising large charity and community events such as walks, runs and family fun days, so we’re very adaptable for catering to any event.

What is involved in the consultation and planning process?

Our Full/Partial Planning Service includes a FREE initial consultation, where we will help a couple to identify their needs and requirements which will enable us to design a bespoke planning service to suit them and their budget. 

Classical or modern, vintage or contemporary, traditional or unique, we will spend time with you finding the threads of your personality which bind you as a couple and bring those together to create a day you will both cherish forever.

With regards to our On The Day Coordination service: Following on from an initial consultation 4 weeks before your wedding day, Oh So Perfect will take over where you need us to in the run up to the big day.

On the day itself we will be there from as early as you require to set up the venue, liaise with your suppliers, and ensure that your day runs smoothly from start to finish, so all you have to worry about is saying “I do!”

How involved are you with the wedding plans? 

Oh So Perfect can be as involved as you’d like us to be!  Some couples prefer to handle most of the planning themselves, whilst others require our wedding planner to help with every aspect in the lead up to the big.

Quite simply, it is your big day; we will help as much or as little as you like to ensure you have the most enjoyable experience possible.

Will you attend on the wedding day itself?

Absolutely, the wedding day is the day everything you have planned comes together, so we want to make sure it is as perfect as possible.  We will be there at the venue as early as you need us to be to ensure that everything is being taken care of to the highest standard.  If you’d prefer us to be with you in your hotel room/home helping you and your attendants to get ready, then we will be there for you instead – it simply depends on where you’d like us to be!

Throughout the day, we will discreetly manage the order of events, communicate with your suppliers for you and ensure that your guests are being looked after whilst you are away having your photos taken.  We will also oversee and take care of any eventualities that may occur; you probably won’t even notice we’re there!  Should you require a toastmaster, your wedding planner will be happy to oblige.

Your wedding planner will usually stay with you until after the first dance but if you’d like us to coordinate your evening entertainment as well, we’d be only too happy to help.
