It’s been a busy month or so, so much so, I’ve not been blogging as much as I would have hoped. Back in July, along with Gemma Willis Photography, I styled a Willy Wonka themed wedding shoot. I’m pleased to say it was a great success and it’s now live on the blog for you to see. It was much fun and the experience has encouraged us to get creating some more fun shoots. If you have any suggestions, please get in touch.
August saw the wedding planning adventures take shape and on 25th August, our first couple were married. This wedding had been planned since January so to see it all come together was very exciting. Being the first wedding we’d planned (apart from our own), we didn’t know what to expect – not only was it exciting for us, it was exciting for the bride and groom too. Myself and a friend worked together to plan this so it was nice to have support and someone else to bounce ideas off. I’m pleased to report all went well, the bride and groom were impressed with our planning skills and a good day was had by all.
The following week I was fortunate to have another wedding commence; this was a sole adventure and was very exciting indeed. This wedding will feature on the blog very soon, so I won’t spoil the details, but it was awesome! This wedding allowed me to explore my creative side and the couple allowed me to take complete control of the planning and decorating of the venue which is extremely flattering for me, plus it’s my favourite bit!
I was invited to Flaxbourne Garden to blog about the styling of a gorgeous garden wedding. This will feature on the blog shortly with more information about how to create a gorgeous and natural wedding without breaking the bank. Here are a few pictures to get your creative juices flowing.
Today I am off to attend an event in London hosted by Dream Irish Wedding. This will be an exciting opportunity for networking and getting the exclusive information for brides-to-be who are interested in marrying in Ireland.
Finally, tomorrow brings me to The National Wedding Show. Lots of Penny’s Wedding competition winners will be heading to Birmingham for the wedding show of the year. You don’t have to pre book your tickets, you can arrive on the day but pre booking will save you a few pounds.
Happy wedding planning folks!
