This story took place back in August, on the most incredibly sunny day (which can be problematic to a photographer if one of your ‘models’ is a squinter) in the heart of Northamptonshire. The concept was created by Niki Wright and inspired by her grandparents. A handful of awesome, local wedding suppliers came together to create a magical love scene from years gone by. Here is what happened.
Katie and Lou provided amazing hair and make-up looks for each of the land girls and the bride. The wonderful headpieces, created by Hobbits Vintage Creations, simply finished the vintage look.
My role for the day was a mixture of modelling as a land girl and styling the party scene. The props available to made my job very easy indeed. Niki had a gorgeous china tea set and when you mixed that with some lace and fresh flowers, it created a beautifully simple ‘wartime tea party’.
